Is your Local Authority prepared for the risks and opportunities that a changing climate will bring? Are you looking to go beyond NI188?
National Indicator 188: planning to adapt to climate change, is designed to measure progress in preparedness in assessing and addressing the risks & opportunities of a changing climate.
United Sustainable Energy Agency can help you to understand the indicator and its implications to you. We offer a service which goes beyond the basic reporting requirements to truly meet the needs of your Local Authority and its partners.
We will help you manage the opportunities as well as the risks that arise from a changing climate and that can affect service delivery as well as local communities, local infrastructure, businesses and the natural environment.
Recently USEA has collaborated with a number of Local Authorities on the development of a Local Climate Impact Profile (LCLIP). This has proved to be an effective way to help the Local Authorities understand their current vulnerability to weather and climate and meet many of the requirements of NI188 Level 1.
Other support offered by USEA includes:
USEA actively participates in all workshops and conferences run by the Government Office South East and the United Kingdom Climate Impact Programme (UKCIP) and is currently working in collaboration with UKCIP on a case study on the use of the latest UKCP09 climate projections for the UK.
